Trail

Cold Spring Park’s 1.5 mile trail loops around the park, with some (usually muddy) interior paths to explore. The trail is used 365 days a year. It is great for walking, running, cross country skiing, bird-watching, on-leash dog walking, and more! It includes four exercise stations for a full body workout. Bicycles are not allowed.

Off-leash Dog Park

Cold Spring Park’s dog park is an off-leash dog area, located in Old Cold Spring park. The dog park has a picnic table and trashcans for dog waste. Park at Beacon Street parking lot or Plymouth Road. Off-leash dog permit required.

Sports and Fitness Facilities

Tennis

Tennis courts are located in New Cold Spring park, at the Beacon Street entrance. Courts are first come, first serve.

Baseball and Softball

A softball field is located in New Cold Spring Park, off of Beacon Street, and in Old Cold Spring Park, near the Duncklee Street entrance. (Park at Beacon Street or Plymouth Road).

Soccer

A soccer field is located in New Cold Spring park.

Newton Youth Soccer

Basketball

Basketball courts are located in New Cold Spring park. First come, first served.

Exercise Stations

Cold Spring Park has exercise stations located in New Cold Spring park and around the lifecourse trail.

Farmers’ Market

Cold Spring Park hosts a farmers’ market located in New Cold Spring park. Tuesdays 1:30 – 6:00 from July – Oct

Please note: the Farmers’ Market has been moved to Newton South High School for 2020, because of the pandemic.
